The European Commission has announced that geo-blocking will end on December 3, 2018.
Geo-blocking is the system used to limit your access to the internet, based your geographical location. Our access to websites will no longer be (partially) blocked because our IP-address tells a website we are based in a different country. Geo-blocking undermines cross-border sales by limiting the possibility for consumers to benefit from the advantages of online commerce.
Unjustified geo-blocking will end on December 3, 2018.
